Meta Description: AI girlfriend apps promise memory, but what does it mean? See what Nomi, Kupid and testing reports say, and why marketing is not proof.
- Memory is a headline feature, but claims differ from tested results.
- Nomi and Kupid both describe ongoing memory in official or review coverage.
- “Human-level” memory wording does not establish perfect recall.
What Platforms Claim
Nomi’s official website makes ongoing memory prominent,[6] and its app listing describes continuity across private and group conversations.[14] Kupid review coverage describes a long-term memory system meant to recall earlier conversations.[15]
What Testing Suggests
A seven-day Nomi test reports useful recall of earlier details.[17] Review coverage nonetheless cautions that marketing descriptions of human-level memory do not establish perfect recall or a verified industry-wide ranking.[36]
How to Judge It Yourself
- Share a few small details early, then refer to them days later.
- Check whether memory carries across separate sessions.
- Treat provider claims and observed results as separate things.
